Pratt Industries is proud to support the Captain Planet Foundation, an organization devoted to teaching children environmental awareness. As a presenting sponsor at this year’s Gala Event, Pratt is happy to announce a successful and educational evening was had by all. And how could it not be a success, with the likes of environmental leaders Sir Richard Branson, Ted Turner, President Jimmy Carter and EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson in attendance?
Featured at the event was the world’s first high performance electric luxury vehicle, the Fisker Karma, designed by founder and visionary Henry Fisker. A silent auction and live auction took place that included luxury brand items and once-in-a-lifetime getaways.
The highlight of the evening was a panel discussion between the aforementioned people. Topics discussed included climate change, clean energy and the future of the environment.
Waldorf Schools were awarded the Captain Planet Green Award for their commitment to cultivating a personal relationship with the Earth and her resources, so that young people can develop a genuine ecological consciousness.
The funds raised during this event will allow the Foundation to continue to empower young Planeteers to protect their planet.
